Nothing contained, everything alive: a series of paintings inspired by swaths of golden poppies in my Northern California surroundings.

In the spring, it's even more of a perk to come across patches of golden poppies in Northern California growing uncurbed in and around sidewalks and roads. Their petals flutter in the slightest breeze, creating ripples of golden orange waves.

The back of the piece is painted neon orange, creating a soft orange glow on the wall.
