Nothing contained, everything alive: a series of paintings inspired by swaths of golden poppies in my Northern California surroundings.

Golden poppies grow where they want to, not bothered by rocky terrain or pollution. Up close, they seem fragile, but splashed across hillsides, they powerfully own the landscape.
