Nothing contained, everything alive: a series of paintings inspired by swaths of golden poppies in my Northern California surroundings. These yellow-orange flowers decorate hillsides, sidewalks and road embankments with unrestrained abandon in the spring and summer, always sending a little spark of joy whenever I spot them. I wanted to share that in these works.
