Nothing contained, everything alive: a series of paintings inspired by swaths of golden poppies in my Northern California surroundings.

Golden poppies grow where they want to, not bothered by rocky terrain or pollution. This is a reminder to me that there is a unseen structure that is a scaffold for all living things.
